George Gardner, Owner, G.A. Precision
George, aka OB-1, has been working in the gun business doing gunsmithing and now building custom rifles for over 13 years. George has learned from some of the best. He apprenticed under three different gunsmiths who together have a total of 75 years experience. For the past 10 years, George has been working with precision bolt-action rifles and for the last seven years he has been building custom rifles professionally. George has visited both the U.S. Marine Corp Precision Weapons Section in Quantico, Virginia and the U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Center Armory in Crane, Indiana to gain even more information and experience. George has seven years military experience as an MP. He graduated from the U.S. Army Small Arms School. George was also an armorer while at the 501st MP Company. George has been in the law enforcement field for 18 years. George retired from North Kansas City Police Department in 2005. While at NKCPD, he was an Armorer, a Sniper, and SWAT Team Trainer. George remains at NKCPD as a Reserve Officer. He is still a Sniper and a Sniper/SWAT Team Trainer. George is an avid shooter and outdoorsman. George takes pride in the quality custom rifles that G.A. Precision is making and is looking forward to the future as a professional custom rifle builder.

Eric Reid, Senior Custom Rifle Builder, G.A. Precision
Eric, aka HackSaw,
started out as a Marine Corps 2111, “Basic small arms repairman,”
in 1990. His first formal training was at the Army’s small arms repairman
school in Aberdeen, MD. From there he went on to the Infantry Weapons Repair
Facility 2nd FSSG, 2nd Maint BN, Camp Lejeune, NC. During his tour there he
served as the line armorer for Battle Skills Training School (BSTS).
Following his brief stint at BSTS, Eric was requested to deploy with
the 26th MEU on two, six month cruises in the Mediterranean. Here he served
as a Battalion armorer as well as one of the small arms repairmen for all
the Marines in the Battle Fleet. He fixed everything from Daisy Redrider BBguns
(no kidding), to 20mm chain guns. He received a medal for maintaining 100%
readiness reportable while in the 26th MEU.
Now a seasoned “Salty Dog,” in 1994 he was recommended for the
illustrious 2112 “Gunsmiths of the Corps,” 15 month OJT School
at Precision Weapons Section, Weapons Training Battalion, MCCDC, Quantico,
VA. .
Upon completion of the school, he was assigned to Sniper section. Shortly
thereafter, he was made section head, where his responsibilities included
the training of new students, maintaining the rifles assigned to Scout Sniper
Instructor School, and rebuilding the entire M40A1 inventory in the Corps.
He was also instrumental in the research and development
and building of the M40A3.
Eric has 16 years experience in the small arms field. Ten of these years
were primarily focused on bolt action tactical sniper rifles. Eric works with
George striving to always build a better rifle.

Tim Roberts, Senior Custom Rifle Builder, G.A. Precision
Tim, aka Moon, started at G.A. in January of 2005. Tim graduated from of the Colorado School of Trades with an Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Gunsmithing. Tim worked for Mackool Firearms for almost three years doing repairs, restoration and full custom builds. Tim has more than eleven years of machining experience on manual and CNC mills and lathes. Tim’s specialties are Remingtons and Winchesters and of course, the beloved 50 cal. BMG. Tim loves hunting, the outdoors and a good time. Tim is very knowledgeable and a very hard worker. He has a great facial features and a hell of a sense of humor. He is a great G.A. Precision team member.

Jeff Hayes, Senior Custom Rifle Builder, G.A. Precision
Jeff Hayes, aka Flounder, came to G.A. Precision in June 2003, Jeff is local to the area and worked in the largest retail gun store here in Kansas City for a number of years. Back in 2000 Jeff decided that it was time to take a stab at what he really wanted to do, Custom Gunsmithing! Jeff enrolled in a 2 year gunsmithing program at Murry State College, Tishamingo, OK. Jeff graduated in the spring of 2003 and joined the G.A. Team as an apprentice gunsmith. Since then Jeff has fine tuned his skills here at G.A. Precision and currently specializes in AR-15 and AR-10 Platform Rifles. Jeff is also an avid hunter and hobbies include shooing, gardening, and custom home building.
