Nickname:

Chris graduated from the Colorado School of Trades, in Jan 2002 with an Associates Degree in Gun Smithing. While attending school, Chris apprenticed with George and Eric while on break and incorporated GAP assigned projects while at school. Upon graduating CST, Chris joined the GAP team and further hones his skills into a seasoned rifle smith. Chris enjoys shooting (1000 yard benchrest) coyote calling, and hunting. Chris also has a past in cattle ranching and still today manages a small herd in Garden City , MO.

Chris left G.A. Precison in the Winter of 2005 to start his own rifle shop with his father George Matthews in Garden City, MO, Longshot Rifles LLC. After building rifles for the top tactical rifle shop in the US, G.A. Precision, for three years, Chris decided to expand his services by opening his own shop. Chris participates in various competitions such as 1000 yard benchrest. He is also an active varmint, predator and big game hunter.
