George “Ob-1” Gardner

President / Senior Rifle Builder

George, aka OB-1, has been working in the gun business doing gun smithing and now building custom rifles for over 16 years. George has learned from some of the best. He apprenticed under three different gunsmiths who together have a total of 75 years experience. For the past 14 years, George has been working with precision bolt-action rifles and for the last twelve years he has been building custom rifles professionally. George has worked with and visited the U.S. Marine Corp Precision Weapons Section in Quantico, Virginia on several occasions. And visited the U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Center Armory in Crane, Indiana and the U.S. Army AMU Shop at Ft Benning, GA to gain even more information and experience. George entered the U.S. Army in 1987 serving six years as a 95B-V5 Military Police Investigator.

He graduated from the U.S. Army Small Arms School , Vilsec, Germany. George was assigned as an armorer while at the 501st MP Company then moved onto Military Police Investigations for USMCA Ansbach Germany then finishing his Military service as an Investigator at the U.S. Disiplinary Barracks, Levenworth , KS. George then entered civilian life and later retired from North Kansas City Police Department in 2005 and stayed on as a comissioned Reserve officer till 2008 rounding out 20 years in Law Enforcement. While at NKCPD, he was assigned to Patrol Division, the K-9 - Narcotics Unit, With additional duties as the Dept Armorer, SRT Unit Sniper, and Range Officer/Instructor. George still remains working with the NKCPD as a Range Officer volunteer. George is an avid shooter and outdoorsman. George takes pride in the quality custom rifles that G.A. Precision is making and is looking forward to the future of creating the best professional custom rifles on the market.
